We are in! 1st Kitchen Debut!

Good morning!!!

We finally got in and settled this weekend, thanks to wonderful family and friends! Brooks was actually called to work out of town Thursday which really put a damper on the big move. All in all, we got it done! Yay, for real friends and family! I owe them all, big time! Brooks came home to a new bedroom, with clean sheets and his clothes some what settled in. He also came home to every room put together except for the office, which has for the time being, become the catch all-haven't put up yet, room!

I want to share with you our favorite room of the house..........the kitchen! I am still tinkering and moving items around but for now, this is what it looks like!

Our first morning, we opened this door to the back screened in porch, cooked together and had breakfast served out on the porch! We were in heaven!

We are so blessed. The wait was for sure worth it! More of the house to share, later!

Wedding season..wedding memories..

Hi sweet readers!

Totally off the subject of the house for now, I often go back and look at the wedding photos from our wedding last fall and I just can't help but adore that special day. I forget the small details that went into that day and how I slaved over the little DIY crafts for the decorations along with some awesome family members. I wanted to share with you a glimpse of my special day during this wonderful kick up of wedding season. Feel free to ask questions on how I did things. I love wedding planning. In fact, after the wedding I told everyone I was going through "postpartum wedding planning." -SMILE-

Plan to move Memorial Day weekend... whoooo hoooooo!!!

Busy, busy with packing and planning the big MOVE.. but I really wanted to share the fire place detail completion with you all. He finished it yesterday and got the first coat of paint on. He will be putting the semi gloss finish coat on today. Minor touch ups and installing appliances are in the works along with the bathroom mirrors and then we should be good to go!!!

Lots of updates coming soon with the move and the new decorating and arranging!!

Summertime and gas logs.. oxymoron I know..

I know I need to blog more often for you wonderful readers but I just can't help when the updates are slowly approaching.. remodeling takes time as we all know.

Yesterday was a great day for the new home. We passed the gas inspection with the new gas lines and the fire place is in the process of being closed in around the fire box and gas logs. I thought I would share it with you all today and hopefully the finished product next week.

Our time line is possibly to move in next weekend or the following! We are getting excited and no, I have not even STARTED packing.. someone please, motivate ME!!!

I also have included a picture of the range.. yes, it is gas so that was part of the process yesterday! :) I am in love with the new range but as everyone is telling me, I am not sure that I am looking forward to learning how to cook again because apparently gas is a lot different/faster! :)

Appliances are looking great so far with the grey cabinets, right!? Love the kitchen soooo much!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

Who is ready to see some lights in the new house!?

Lights were so hard for me, I had to have a little help from my mother who does a little interior designing on the side. Most are installed except for the dining room chandelier and as soon as it is hung (I am thinking between now and Sunday) I will do an entire post dedicated to it because I am so in LOVE with it!

Also, we are waiting on the fans to be installed but again, that will be another post..
