A little charm on the door.. BURLAP style! :)

Hellooooooooooo awesome followers!!

Every wonder how to decorate for each season on your front door? What about each occasion? I have found this to be so much fun. It is an easy do for a door hanger for "any" occasion!

Once a month we have a group of ladies that get together to do a craft. We like to call it "Ladies wine and craft night!" Whomever is hosting is in charge of coming up with the craft and hosting us wonderful ladies. Well tonight it is at my house and my craft I choose was Burlap door hangers... I got started on mine last night so I could spend some time with the ladies and do my hosting duties tonight as needed! I decided to do a St. Patricks day hanger because March is soon approaching.. I have below a picture of my inspiration and a picture of my "not quite finished product."

I still need to go over the black and do some touch ups here and there.. I have not completed the hanger its self so I have to finish that as well and add my bow, etc.

Here is how you get this adorable burlap door hanger on your door:

What you will need:

Acrylic paint (the colors you need to complete yopick)

Primer (to spray the burlap so it does not take up so much paint)

Paint brushes

Stapler/Staples

Scissors

Burlap (how much depends on the size of your intended hanger)

Wire

Lots of leftover plastic bags from the grocery store

*A DOOR* :)

There are a few ways you can complete this project but this is my preference..

Directions: Cut out your burlap as you wish to paint (cut a front & back piece..you will staple these together). Prime, then paint your pattern(front piece only)/cut out as wish, as well. Staple the cut out to the back piece together and leave the bottom open enough to stuff the bags in. Stuff your plastic bags in and give it that plump look.. then staple the bottom shut. (I like to go back and touch up the staples with a little bit of paint to make them blend..up to you!) Add anything else you would like to your hanger and attach the wire at the top to hang it up. Enjoy!
